Greetings and thank you for visiting....
I'm one of "those people" who still believes in hope and love. Not romanticism per se but in the heartstrings, the individual stories of triumph over failure, love over hate, which lies within each and every one of us. I am excited to join the Suite 101 family of professional writers because like you I too have something to say and share.
Just a brief note about me... My formal education is in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Special Education. My formal training is in Addiction and the Brain as well as Alcohol, Marijuana, and other Drugs Interventions from the University of Southern California. I've had the rare privilege of working with thousands of youth and their families as a chief administrator, academic consultant and teacher. I have also worked with the darker-side of youth and their choices as a board member of several city gang task force teams throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
My writing credentials include several award-winning theatrical productions (which successfully played to sold-out audiences in Seattle and Northern California). In addition, I have received several esteemed writing awards from the University of Washington as well as several Image Awards throughout Northern California for Creative Writing. My blog, TiAja's Blog received consideration as one-of-five best Life Coach blogs by Networkedblogs. Finally, I am currently working on completing my first book and screenplay.
From day one, I would exhort my students to never settle for being a carbon copy but instead for them to become an original. It is my hope you will lend your heartstrings and originality to this site. Expect2bBlessed!
